Diablo 2: Ressurected is out! What do critics and players say about the game?
Yesterday evening was marked by a solemn celebration for all old school fans of Diablo 2. But not only for them, but also for younger gamers who want to try out the cult game with updated graphics. Blizzard Entertainment has released a remastered version of Diablo's second installment, subtitled Ressurected.
Rod Fergusson tweeted the highly anticipated Diablo 2: Ressurected. At the moment, not so many critics and players have managed to comment on the game, however, there are some points from the existing ones that I would like to highlight.

In perhaps the main international aggregator of reviews, Metacritic, five gaming publications left their reviews. Four of them have already been moderated and posted on the portal, while the fifth has not yet been reviewed by Metacritic staff.
Most of all, journalists from the Game Informer portal were delighted. Daniel Tuck rated the game at 88 points out of 100 and said the following about the title:
Diablo 2: Resurrected has shown why it remains the standard by which all other action RPGs are judged. Although it lacks the ever-evolving content that became the basis for the genre when it evolved into a game-as-a-service model. Not all games have to be played forever. Diablo 2: Resurrected proves that Blizzard classics are still popular today. Diablo 2: Resurrected is well worth the time, whether it's your first foray into hell and beyond, or the thousandth hour.
Usually, the role of those who do remasters is quite simple: to make a product that has several years of experience behind it, attractive, to attract new audiences and, possibly, attract old fans, using the effect of nostalgia. In Diablo II: Resurrected, Activision Blizzard decided to sharply show players the face of the real Diablo 2 in order to make it clear, if necessary, that memory ends up being too benevolent, while at the same time highlighting the productivity of efforts to ensure that in 2021 you could comfortably play in the title, on whose shoulders more than twenty years.
Diablo 2 Resurrected has an awesome graphical overhaul as well as satisfactory controller support, but this remaster isn't really for the masses. It is primarily aimed at fans of the original game.Nostalgia will not necessarily be enough to make you forget about the lack of modernization of many interface elements or gameplay. As such, Diablo 2 is struggling to compete with many new games of the same genre on many levels. Let's hope for more changes in the future.Even if it doesn't claim to be a modern game, we still recommend it for players who want to discover this great classic in good conditions, knowing that it offers almost unlimited playtime for those who are tied to the old Diablo 2 formula.
Improved graphics and impressive cinematics have helped to rebuild the game in a whole new way, making it feel like this is truly your first playthrough, time and time again. However, breaking this immersion results in a host of annoying bugs that will likely be fixed soon. Since patches fall out over time, we hope that this will go away by itself, but at the moment they can destroy the game so much that they force you to do devilish things to your computer. Despite all this, I'm glad to be back in the game. In fact, I can't wait to do it. Why? Because evil is back, and this is the Diablo 2 that I know and love.
Diablo 2 was released on June 29 June 29, 2000 and immediately gained cult status. The title from Blizzard Entertainment set the bar high for all subsequent RPG titles, and the title is still considered one of the most influential in the gaming industry to this day.
