Fortnite Releases PC Maintenance Patch

Fortnite has released a technical update for the PC version of the game. This patch resolves performance issues related to DirectX 12 support system.

The Fortnite maintenance update will become available after launching or restarting the game. The patch fixes performance issues found in a DirectX 12 game that is currently in beta testing. DirectX 12 is the latest graphics support in the DirectX line from Microsoft.

The main features of DirectX 12 are advanced ray tracing and variable rate shading (VRS). Ray tracing simulates the realistic reflection of light from objects, while VRS instantly adjusts the level of shading based on movement and other changes in the scene. These two functions combine to create the best graphics available for PC owners.
