ESL renews Mastercard partnership

Tournament organizer ESL Gaming announced the renewal of partnership with financial company Mastercard to host the Northern League of Legends Championship (NLC).

Under the agreement, Mastercard will remain NLC's official payment partner. In addition, the company will continue to reward NLC viewers. This agreement follows last year's collaboration between NLC and Mastercard, which resulted in the creation of a number of user-defined broadcast segments.

According to the press release, the deal aims to build on past achievements by further developing all broadcasting segments of the championship.

In recent years, Mastercard has integrated into the esports ecosystem. Along with NLC, the company has previously partnered with Riot Games, specifically covering the League of Legends Championship Series (LCS).
