Rumors: Call of Duty League plans to make an exclusive deal with YouTube
According to Dexerto, the Call of Duty League franchise management plans to enter into an exclusive partnership agreement with the YouTube platform. The organizers expect to sign a three-year deal with the site, despite signing a partnership with Twitch at the end of last year.
Sources recently told Dexerto that the fourth Major of the 2023 Call of Duty League season will be held in Columbus, Ohio, while the final CDL Championship will take place in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Interestingly, since its inception, Call of Duty League has been streamed exclusively on YouTube. However, in December 2022, the organizers of the franchise league announced the start of cooperation with the Twitch platform, expanding their broadcasting grid. At the same time, it was reported that the competition would no longer be available on the platform from Google, breaking the previous partnership.
Now, the Call of Duty League plans to reunite with YouTube as part of a renewed three-year partnership deal, with the platform switch taking place after the Major, which takes place over the weekend in Boston.

The situation is noteworthy in that since the transition to Twitch, the popularity of competitions within the Call of Duty League has increased markedly, as evidenced by the numbers of analytical services. In addition, with the return to YouTube, organizers may have to abandon parties involving Scump and ZooMaa, who would rather stay on the Twitch site.
