Riot Games announces partnerships with KOI and Team Heretics

Riot Games has announced a partnership with Spanish esports organizations KOI and Team Heretics. As part of the deal, the clubs will co-stream the LEC Winter Split in Spanish, starting on January 21st.

We're thrilled to try co-streaming at the LEC and see how our two teams tell their story from a new, fresh perspective. Co-streaming offers fans a unique viewing experience, and after careful consideration of the idea during the off-season, we have decided to move this to the winter split. As always, we will be listening carefully to fan feedback as we evaluate whether we want to continue developing the initiative in the future.

It is worth saying that this is not the first time that the organization jointly broadcasts the main competition in the League of Legends discipline. In 2021, FlyQuest also co-streamed LCS games in Spanish. If the co-broadcast program is popular with the community, it will be opened up to include more co-broadcasts among teams in different languages in the future, the activation organizers said.

The broadcast of Team Heretics will be available on the official Twitch channel of the Spanish organization. In the meantime, Ibai Llanos, owner of the KOI organization, will host Twitch streams for his club.

Note that LG's UltraGear brand has recently become a partner of the LEC series again, concluding an agreement for the entire 2023 year. Riot Games also announced a partnership with poster maker Displate.
