Team Liquid left Apex Legends
The Dutch esports organization Team Liquid has announced its retirement from the Apex Legends discipline. Recall that earlier the club had disagreements with the organizers regarding the distribution of profits from the sale of skins. However, Liquid added that they will continue to support the scene along with their content makers.
It's never easy to say goodbye, but sometimes it's for the best. Today we officially announce that Team Liquid will no longer be fielding a team in the ALGS. While this has been talked about on social media, we realize it's probably confusing given how well the team performed even after they lost the Gildersons. We will do our best to provide an explanation to our community and apologize to the roster.
As with our experience in competitive PUBG, Team Liquid is an organization driven by the realities of the industry, both financial and social. On the financial side of things, ALGS and how it's moving forward with monetization for teams just doesn't fit in with our operations and so we need to leave even though we're not enjoying it. However, we are not leaving the Apex Legends ecosystem completely. We will continue to invite content creators such as Rogue and Acie to remain our ambassadors in this community. We still have a lot of love and faith in Apex Legends as a game and we are just moving away from the competitive scene.

We had to make tough decisions as we left, which unfortunately resulted in our team getting less coverage than they deserved. We've put together a roster that has grown into a world-class competitor - led by arguably the best coach and captain in Apex Legends history - and as they've grown, we've expanded our Apex content team to match them.
It all goes to show that Team Liquid have made incredible strides in the Apex Legends competitive scene, and even as we say goodbye to our roster, we want to celebrate all of their accomplishments. Their time in our organization may have passed, but these incredibly skilled players aren't done yet, so consider this an ode to them and all they've done for us over the past few years.
The Team Liquid organization has been featured in Apex Legends since 2019. During this time, the club tried to stick to the same composition, making small adjustments as the seasons progressed. In turn, the team brought "liquid" victories at ALGS Online #3 - North America, ALGS Winter Circuit #3 - North America and FFL - Global Challenge #2, and also got into the top three in the GLL Masters Spring - North America, Super League Arena - Finals and ALGS: 2022 Split 2 Playoffs.
