North American esports organization Cloud9 has announced a partnership with blockchain game Axie Infinity: Origins. The deal is said to showcase Axie Infinity: Origins to a new audience - the club's fans. In particular, the parties will organize a championship dedicated to the Cloud9 program in Stratus.

Starting January 4, 2023, the STRATUS x Axie Infinity: Origins tournament is only available to Stratus members. Winners will receive rewards such as Cloud9 merchandise, free axis (characters), and AXS, a gaming token on Ethereum.

Axie Infinity is a popular NFT-based game built on the Ethereum blockchain. The title uses a Play to Earn (P2E) model in which users can earn money by playing games.
