Copenhagen Flames partners with Energive
Danish esports organization Copenhagen Flames has announced a partnership with internet and electricity supplier Energive. As part of the deal, the parties will reportedly work together to break down taboos and misconceptions that exist around the gaming habits of children and youth.
Steffen Thomsen, CEO and Founder of Copenhagen Flames: "I'm delighted that we can partner with Energive, who have made their interest in esports and gaming very clear from the very first conversation and have made clear the purpose of the collaboration. We will work together to bring nuance to the conversation about games and esports, where the unhealthy aspects of games are not the central topics, but instead emphasize the unique properties of, for example, gaming communities and clubs."

In addition, Copenhagen Flames and Energive will aim to educate the audience by inviting key personalities to openly discuss their own positive gaming and esports experiences. In particular, Steffen Thomsen and Michael Herz, CEO and Founder of Copenhagen Flames and Energive respectively, will talk about their experiences with games.
The parties are also expected to organize a CS:GO tournament later this year called the Energive Cup, with a prize pool of £8,700. In addition, the parties have planned many more activations, the details of which will appear in the future.
Michael Hertz, CEO and Founder of Energive: "We love esports and we love its clubs and communities. Those were the feelings that immediately arose when we at Energive talked about what we are as a team, company and individuals, passionate. So it was only natural for us to enter the world of esports."
Energive is the latest addition to Copenhagen Flames' growing list of partners, which also includes Razer, Red Bull, Elgiganten, HP OMEN and Streamcoi, among others.
