David Beckham renegotiates his contract with Guild Esports
Two years after signing the original five-year deal, British esports organization Guild Esports has renegotiated the terms of its partnership with David Beckham, cutting financial commitments by a total of £7.5 million. Note that the original deal, signed in 2020, offered the former professional footballer and his company Footwork Productions £15.25 million.
Despite the fact that significant payments have already been made, and another payment is due this year, the financial part of the agreement will undergo significant changes. As the deal enters its final stages, the renegotiation of the terms of the agreement means that previously due payments will no longer be delivered.

Now, as part of the revamped agreement, Footwork Productions will only receive 20% of Guild Esports' sponsorship and merchandising revenue.
This revised agreement comes just days after the announcement of a massive partnership between Guild Esports and Sky UK.
This is a three-year partnership and is reported to bring in £2 million a year, making it one of the biggest sponsorships in European esports. David Beckham, Permanent Ambassador for Guild Esports, praised the deal: "It's great that Guild Esports has a fantastic new partner at Sky and I'm delighted to welcome them to the Guild Esports family."
Since the renegotiation of the deal between David Beckham's Footwork Productions and Guild Esports includes sponsorship income, the former pro football superstar will also benefit from the deal.
