Riot Games Launches Annual Pride Month Event

The American company Riot Games announced the beginning of the “month of pride”. Managers reported this on the official website of the organization.

Pride month has arrived! Pride is a time to come together, celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community, recognize the progress we have made and continue to work towards creating inclusive spaces for all people.

Riot Games began supporting the LGBTQIA+ community in 2018. The first steps along the way were the introduction of Rainbow Fluft, which constantly helped the players to represent their personality during the game. The company strives to develop inclusiveness within its projects, among all LGBTQIA + communities, which has been observed over the years. The addition of various icons, illustrations and emotes to expand the Pride collection shows us this.

The event is celebrated across all Riot games and kicks off June 1st. Players are waiting for the next replenishment of Pride sets. We are waiting for new badges, new routes, new player cards and much more. This celebration will also affect regional broadcasts and events in many esports leagues.

The organization seeks to support the most diverse segments of society. It is worth noting that in 2022 the Human Rights Campaign recognized Riot as one of the best places to work for LGBTQIA+ equality.
