Evil Geniuses Expands Partnership With LG Electronics

North American esports organization Evil Geniuses announced the expansion of its existing partnership agreement with electronics manufacturer LG Electronics.

As a result, the parties will launch a two-part content series called the Collegiate Showcase Series Invitational. The event is expected to feature the best colleges and universities in the esports field.

The Invitational, powered by LG UltraGearTM, will run this weekend, September 25-26, and will be streamed live on Evil Geniuses' Twitch channel. The second event in the Invitational series will be announced at a later date.

Sabrina Wong, Cultural Specialist and Student Program Manager at Evil Geniuses: "Evil Geniuses believes that student esports is integral to the development of the broader esports ecosystem."

Several student teams will compete in the two-day League of Legends tournament for a $ 10,000 prize pool. In addition, all teams will be equipped with LG's own brand UltraFear gaming monitors and Ultrafearm gaming speakers.

In 2020, Evil Geniuses partnered with LG Electronics' Ultra Gear brand. The Ultrag logo currently adorns the team's jersey.
