KheZu retires as a professional player
KheZu, former offlaner for the Quincy Crew, has announced his retirement from professional play. The 27-year-old German announced this on his social networks, adding that he wants to try his hand as a coach or analyst.
This season I will not play as a player, I want to try myself as an analyst or coach. For the past year and a half, I have experienced daily stress, even when I no longer played for the team. The constant pressure to perform the way I did at some point before took away all the fun I had from playing Dota 2 because I felt like I wasn't good enough. I didn't want to live like this anymore.
This year, I want to focus on finding myself and learning how to enjoy life without being affected by how my damn Dota 2 pubs run every day or what my current rank is. The last time I really felt truly happy in the game was when I had the chance to work as an analyst and when I was mentoring the Quincy Crew at TI10. It allowed me to see how much I still love this game, because I got the opportunity to participate in games and take them apart without pressure. The best thing about Dota 2 is the team aspect where you improve together, work as a group and just enjoy the game because of its beauty and complexity.

I want to thank the people who gave me the chance to try out as an analyst this year and all the great professionals we have on this stage. All the staff I worked with made me feel welcome from the start and made the job easy. I want to thank everyone who continues to support me, it really means a lot to me.
KheZu has been performing on the professional stage since 2015. During his career, the 27-year-old German has played for teams such as Team Secret, Vega Squadron, OG, Vikin.gg and Quincy Crew, earning around $249,000 in prize money.
In particular, he became the champion of ROG MASTERS 2016, EPIC League Season 3 Division 1 and DPC NA 2021/2022 Tour 1: Division I, and also got into the TOP-3 at EPICENTER 2017 and OGA Dota PIT Season 4: Europe/CIS.
It is noteworthy that in 2021, KheZu already had a chance to try himself as a Quincy Crew coach, where, together with the team, he reached the playoffs of The International 2021.
