Danil ‘Dendi’ Ishutin held an AMA session

Ця стаття доступна наступними мовами

Danil 'Dendi' Ishutin hosted an Ask Me Anything session on his Instagram account. He received a lot of questions regarding the situation in the team, its future, what he expects from the next patch for Dota 2 and so on. He answered some questions in sufficient detail, while with others he decided to behave more restrainedly.

At the moment, it is not known whether B8 Esports will make changes in the team, however, the club has been looking for a coach for a long time.

About the changes in the team, Dendi said the following:

I think it will be completely wrong if I say something about what is happening inside us[team]. You yourself will soon find out. It's no secret to anyone that we are looking for a coach. Still looking for him. We have guys that we would like to move forward with, and soon you will know everything.

Danil Ishutin does not lose hope for a bright future for his team. He spoke about the efforts of the team in terms of getting in shape. B8 Esports is still striving to return to the Dota Pro Circuit league and is already preparing for Dota 2 Champions League Season 8. Dendi did not forget to refer to the joke about beavers that break through the dam (this is the metaphor the community has dubbed B8's infrequent wins in matches):

We always have plans to get back in shape and, let's say, to break this ''dam'' in every game, and not once every many games. Plan: to find out all the beavers and put them in cages so that they do not get out of there. As for the tournaments, I think many have seen the announcement that we will be playing Winline D2CL Season 8 very soon. We are also preparing for the DPC qualifiers, which will also be in March, very soon. We will try to show a decent game.

Dendi fans asked him if he would like to finally change his position and give up his place in the middle lane to some other esportsman. He answered not without humor and said that in the necessary situation he was ready to leave the mid-laner, but so far he did not see a candidate ready to replace him in this field:

I don’t understand, why do we need to do this[changemidlaner]? Our mid is busy, there is a person standing there. He is not a beaver, he doesn’t build a dam, maybe sometimes his teeth erupt, but if suddenly there is such a need, then of course[heisreadytoleavethemid]. Who is my candidate[formid]? Just a good player. I think the main thing is that a person should be good and want to win. So that for this he tried and did a lot of work, was hardworking. In principle, almost every such player can achieve a result. Since the game is a team game, I think it's absolutely real.

When asked why Tinker performs well in matchmaking, but does not appear in professional matches, Ishutin answered about the need for a high chemistry indicator in the team. He called this character the hero of one or two mistakes:

I tried to play him, but because he is so strong, I'm not even interested in picking him. I understand that in order to take him in tournaments, you need to play a little cleaner with the team in order to start picking him. This is the hero of one mistake, one or two. Too much at stake. If you get caught somewhere, then you lose. Since we're making quite a few mistakes right now, it's probably better to play other heroes and not waste time on him. I just didn't want to abuse him in matchmaking. I do not like to play on a broken imba.

Ishutin was also asked about his expectations regarding the next patch for Dota 2. He believes that Valve can attract a lot of audience if they make a successful update and bring back old players who stopped entering Valve's MOBA.

I hope that the patch will completely change the game, since Valve themselves wrote that there will be very big and big changes, and there will be a lot of them. If they affect the economy and the map, then, in principle, it will be a new Dota, which will be interesting for everyone to study again. If they make some cool changes for matchmaking, then perhaps Dota will again begin to gain popularity at a rapid pace: both old players and new ones will come to it. Who knows. It all depends on how well the new Valve patch worked, because there were no global patches for a very long time.

I hope that Valve will not fall into the dirt face, let's say, and do something worthwhile, cool, that everyone will be interested.

Continuing the discussion about various heroes, Dendi did not forget to mention Techies. According to Ishutin, this character needs improvement the most:

There is one hero that could be buffed a bit. This is Techies. I really like him, I would like to be a professional demolition worker - to blow up people so that they get nervous, burn. I feel that he lacks some kind of buff. But I heard Valve wrote that changes are coming. I'm waiting.
