Ripple has a new president

In the course of litigation between the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Ripple (XRP), the latter decided to put a new president at the head of the company. Monica Long, who previously served as vice president, was promoted to lead Ripple.

According to Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse, Monica has always been a very important advisor to him at all stages of the development of the cryptocurrency market. Notably, Monica Long was involved in the rollout of an on-demand liquidity product that greatly facilitated transactions on the Ripple network. Thanks to this product, people from different countries could make huge international transfers in the amount of even $30,000,000,000.

According to Ripple lawyers, the cryptocurrency firm has every chance of winning the lawsuit, which began back in December 2022. Despite this, experts who understand the law believe that making any predictions in such a case is a thankless task, since the chances of either side winning are almost equal. Earlier, John Deaton, a lawyer representing XRP, stated that the case between the SEC and Ripple could be regulated in order to avoid further appeals.
