Porsche may launch their NFT collection
Representatives of the German automaker announced the start of development of the NFT collection, which will include 7,500 items. It will be released next January and all non-interchangeable items will be based on the classic Porsche 911 model.
It is noteworthy that Patrick Vogel, a Hamburg-based designer and part-time 3D artist, was involved in the creation of NFT tokens. As the main feature, Porsche called this opportunity for users to decide in what form their non-interchangeable item will be made. Categories such as Lifestyle, Performance and Heritage will be given a choice.
Безкоштовні дорогоцінні камені, а також щоденні, щотижневі та щомісячні бонуси!
According to the assurances of the developers, the subject of each category will have its own unique features. For example, cars in the Heritage category will have to have the unique look of cars that compete on professional circuits in races with round badges on the sides and numbers on them.
The Lifestyle will presumably stand out from the rest of the cars with its everyday style, and the cars in the Performance category will likely have body kits or upgrades, something else that will indicate their more powerful performance.
The process of acquiring a token will be unique for each client and will take place in several stages. From the very beginning, the client will acquire a non-fungible token, after which he will tell the performer what kind of car he wants. The artist will begin designing the model as a 3D asset. It is noteworthy that the cars will be made on the Unreal Engine 5 game engine, which is designed to improve the video game and 3D modeling industry.
Porsche NFT token concept
In addition to the artist designing an exclusive model, Porsche is also promised exclusive access to virtual and real events related to the automaker, according to Detlev von Platen, one of the members of the sales and marketing executive board.
Representatives of the fashion house Prada did the same before, who sold their exclusive non-fungible tokens. The latter allowed collectors who wished to come to Madrid and join the fashion show, as well as visit tours that were held specifically for buyers of NFT tokens.
Lutz Meschke, a member of the executive board for finance, also commented on the situation with the release of Porsche NFT tokens. According to him, the automaker wants to start introducing blockchain into its commercial operations, and the company is showing an increased interest in the development of Web3 technologies and metaverses. Porsche is currently exploring the use of blockchain in automotive procurement and supply chain management.
Representatives of the German automaker announced 4 years ago their desire to increase investments in startups that are somehow connected with the blockchain, after which Porsche received a loan in the amount of $170,000,000 from the Spanish bank BBVA. It is noteworthy that the act of taking a loan was carried out through the cryptocurrency world through the blockchain, which Porsche wants to move towards.
