The longest matches in the history of the professional CS:GO [Part 2]
All CS:GO fans know that an average match goes on not longer than 29 rounds but this is not always like that. Heroes of our top played more than 50 rounds.
Last month, we presented you few longest professional CS:GO matches. But due to all matches had not been able to be placed in our material, we decided to divide them into two parts. We present a few more matches that have lasted much longer than usual.

The 5th place
48 rounds — Virtus.pro vs Epsilon eSports (FACEIT League EU Season 2)
The match was played at the European division of FACEIT League Season 2 by the Polish and the French teams on September 11, 2014.
The teams played de_cache, where the defensive side was dominating. Virtus.pro won the first half with a score 10:5 in their advantage, playing for Counter-Terrorists. Despite this, their opponents, Epsilon eSports didn’t relax and made come back, having played the second half in the same way as Virtus.pro. After the French brought the game to a draw, teams were playing 18 additional rounds. Finally, Virtus.pro prevailed 26:22 and continued its participation in the league with a great confidence.
Then, Virtus.pro finished its participation in the European division on the 3rd place and they also held the 3rd place at FACEIT League Season 2 Finals and earned a money prize in the sum of $5,000.
Despite this, Virtus.pro input itself in the history of CS:GO, having played one of the longest official matches.

The 4th place
48 rounds/53 rounds — Property vs Volgare - GameAgents League Season 1
The match between Property and Volgare was played at the group stage of GameAgents League Season 1 on Match 7 2015.
In the match between Property and Volgare, the teams overcame 40 rounds on one map and 50 rounds on another one. The first hard battle between the teams happened on de_inferno. Team Property started its performance very steadily. Playing for the defensive side, they could achieve a good result, having finished the first half with a score 11:4 in their favor. However, their opponents Volgare didn’t get confused and showed an excellent defensive play after the change of the side. As the result, they could make a draw. After that, the teams played 18 additional rounds. Eventually, Volgare defeated Property and won this match.
Unfortunately for Volgare, this victory was the last for them at GameAgents League Season 1. They finished the participation in the group stage when G2 Esports forced them out in the Elimination match.

59 rounds — Team Dignitas vs HellRaisers - FACEIT League EU Season 2
One more battle, that had been carried out at the European division of FACEIT League Season 2 on September 11, 2014, holds the third place of our today’s top — Team Dignitas vs HellRaisers.
Team Dignitas started playing first for Counter-Terrorists on de_nuke. They could overcome their opponents and won the first half with a score 10:5 in their advantage. After the change of sides, HellRaisers didn’t get confused and could crush their opponents, having tied the score in the game.
After that, the teams were playing 29 extra rounds. As the result, Team Dignitas could achieve a victory in 16 rounds and win this match.
After the match, Dignitas continued staying in shape and finished the participation in the European division on the 4th place, having passed to the LAN final.
The Danes held the last place at FACEIT League Season 2 Finals, having earned $2,000 for their efforts.

The 2nd place
69 rounds — Ninjas in Pyjamas vs Team EnVyUs (PGL Final 2015)
Ninjas in Pyjamas together with Team EnVyUs became the participants of one more long match, they struggled to come out to the upper bracket of PGL CS:GO Championship Series Kick-off Season.
The first map (de_cache) was played enough fast. Team EnVyUs beat Ninjas in Pyjamas with a score 16:10. However, the second map (de_dust2) was not easy for teams. Opponents were playing with an equal score during the match. Team EnVyUs finished the first half with a score 8:7 in its advantage, playing for CT. After the change of sides, Ninjas in Pyjamas could rehabilitate and play with the same result as Team EnVyUs. After the match point, the teams played 39 more rounds. Eventually, Ninjas in Pyjamas could win the 21st additional round and achieve a victory at the second match. After that, the Swedish team was full of motivation to win and beat Team EnVyUs on the third map, which was de_mirage, with a score 16:11.
For the record, the success of Ninjas in Pyjamas came to the end with that. They lost to the future champion, Team SoloMid in the upper bracket and were eliminated from the tournament, having stepped down to the lower bracket and lost to Fnatic.

The 1st place
72 rounds — k1ck vs k1ck.HU - xfunction Masters Season III
The battle of two rosters of the eSports organization k1ck: Portuguese and Hungarian settled in the first place.
They played one of the longest official matches in the CS:GO history in the quarterfinal of xFunction Masters III. It is worthy of note that the winner of both maps was determined with a help of extra rounds.
K1ck won on de_inferno with a score 19:16. The second and the decisive map was de_cobblestone. There, k1ck eSports HU could win in the first half of the match with a score 9:6, however, the main k1ck roster didn’t give up and played with the same score, playing for CT in the second half of the match. Having passed a match point, the teams started playing additional rounds. The combat between teams lasted 42 rounds until k1ck composed and made a point in this match. The main k1ck roster, consisting of Portuguese players, could overcome the Hungarian roster with a score 37:35 and enter the CS:GO history as participants of one of the longest matches.
After this match, k1ck eSports Club suffered a defeat in the semi-final against the champion of the tournament, however, won the match for the third place.

[An interesting fact: summarizing all played matches from two parts of this top, you can find out that the majority of matches was played on de_inferno and the domination of teams in the first half was 10:5, 11:4, and 12:3, playing for CT. This proves that de_inferno was enough imbalance in the favor of CT and the map fix by Valve was right. Now, the map has become more balanced than before and long matches happen not so often as before on de_interno].
