The organizers of the championship IEM Sydney 2018 gave out one invitation to their tournament more, so Renegades won’t go through the elimination round. Sixteen teams will take part in the competition, while nine out of them will get the direct invites, and the rest of the participant will be known with the help of the regional qualifiers.

The tournament is to be held on 1-6 May 2018 in Australia. The participating team will fight for the prize pool of $250,000.
