Esports Championship Series third season announced

The management of ECS series told few details about the qualifiers to the third season of the competition. The qualifiers will be held in Europe and North America, and 16 teams will participate in them. 8 of the teams will receive direct invites.

The qualifiers received a name the Development League, and the management prepared a video announcement for the tournament:

In Development League, each region will get 16 participants, 8 of them determined by the online qualifiers scheduled on February 18 – 26. Passing the qualifiers, the teams are seeded to the groups where they will play in bo2 matches.

Two best teams of each region in the Development League will play against two worst teams of the European and American divisions of ECS Season 2. These matches are planned for March 25 - 26. The winner of each match moves to ECS Season 3 LAN-finals.
