Epic Esports Events announced CS:GO EPICENTER 2017 (Updated)

Organizers of CS:GO EPICENTER 2017 have informed on their official Twitter account today that they will carry out  the tournament with the prize pool in the sum of $500,000.

They decided to make this through publishing the video, in which logos of such teams as FaZe Clan, Astralis and Gambit eSports were shown.

Let’s remind that Team Dignitas became the winner of EPICENTER 2016, they took $250,000 for doing their best.

Probably, a quarter of million dollars will be the main prize for the first place this year too.

The championship will take place on October 23 – 29, in Saint Petersburg, but not Moscow as usual. This information was proved by CS:GO EPICENTER 2017 organizers. The venue of the event was Yubileyny Sports Palace. As for the participants, their number increased from 8 to 10, and the first four teams to get the invites were announced. These teams are SK Gaming, Gambit eSports, Astralis and FaZe Clan. 8 teams will be invited and two will get a slot on Wild-Card tournament, where the winners of European, CIS, American and Chinese qualifiers will participate. More details about Epic Esports Events qualifiers will appear not sooner than on September 2.
