Thour's examination of the game files reveals that they already include elements necessary for Retake mode, suggesting its potential release in the next major update.

This news comes on the heels of a substantial update released for CS2 on April 25, which brought several enhancements to the game. Notable additions include the ability to switch hands, an updated radar zoom feature, and a new grenade reticle. Alongside these updates, the map Dust 2 has returned to replace Overpass in the active rotation, and several modifications were made to the map Inferno, including the removal of overhanging buildings.
