Valve's Alert: Counter-Strike 2 Players at Risk Due to AMD Driver Issue

Ця стаття доступна наступними мовами

Valve has alerted gamers to a potential issue in Counter-Strike 2 related to the use of the latest AMD graphics driver, which could lead to problems with Valve's Anti-Cheat system, known as VAC. The problem is associated with AMD's Anti-Lag+ feature, which confuses the system into thinking that driver delays may be an attempt at cheating.

AMD's Anti-Lag+ feature redirects functions within the dynamic-link library (DLL), and this behavior could be mistakenly identified by VAC as potential cheating, leading to player bans. Valve has plans to address this issue in collaboration with AMD, and once the update is rolled out, affected players can expect to have their accounts reinstated.

In the meantime, while the problem remains unresolved, Valve recommends that players disable the Anti-Lag+ feature in their graphics card settings. The solution involves turning off Anti-Lag+ using the Alt+L hotkey. Valve also suggests checking key combination settings in the AMD Radeon Software program.
