JOTA has officially joined Imperial Esports
The Brazilian esports organization Imperial Esports has announced changes to its CS:GO roster, saying goodbye to fer. If rumors are to be believed, the veteran Brazilian player is ending his esports career, which could be announced soon. In his place, the club signed JOTA, who had left MIBR the day before.
Together we immortalize moments, inspire thousands of people, overcome ourselves and write beautiful pages of our history. Thank you for the smiles, the jokes, the advice, the dedication... for everything. We will miss you fer.
What comes after "i" in the alphabet? HOTA! Let's welcome our newest addition, JOTA. Let your path be full of success and achievements with us. Welcome.

fer has been with Imperial Esports since last February when he formed "Last Dance" with FalleN. Last season, the 31-year-old Brazilian player became the winner of the OMEN WGR European Challenge 2022, and also made it to the top three at FiReLEAGUE Latin Power Spring 2022, PGL Major Antwerp 2022: American RMR, ESL Challenger at DreamHack Melbourne 2022 and FiReLEAGUE 2022: Global Finals.
However, after the home Intel Extreme Masters Rio Major 2022, the experienced esportsman hinted at a possible retirement. Since then, various sources and interviews have added fuel to the fire, while fer itself has tried to remain silent and only hinted at an imminent retirement.
In turn, JOTA previously played for the MIBR team, where he moved from Bravos Gaming in October 2021. In fifteen months, the 24-year-old Brazilian player became the winner of ESL Challenger League Season 40: North America, CCT Central Europe Series #1 and ESL Challenger League Season 43: North America, and also reached the finals of CBCS Finals 2021, PGL Major Antwerp 2022: American RMR and BLAST Premier: Fall American Showdown 2022.
Now the Brazilian organization remains to solve the last puzzle and decide on the head coach. It is likely that fnx will leave his post and resume his playing career, while the main candidate for the role of Imperial Esports coach is zakk, the former coach of 9z.
The debut of the Brazilian team will take place as part of the ESL Pro League Season 17: South American Conference, which will be held online from January 18 to 20.
