EliGE, k0nfig, ropz, Spinx, NiKo and degster summed up the last season
The BLAST tournament operator asked the professional esports players who played in the BLAST Premier series championships last season to sum up the results of 2022. The organizers turned to EliGE, k0nfig, ropz, Spinx, NiKo and degster for comments, who summed up their results of the past season.
I would say that 2022 has been a very difficult year. We had a lot of difficult opponents that we played against, the journey was hard for every team. I think there were a lot of events and a lot of teams really got stronger, which also made us look at ourselves more in terms of what we need to fix. I would say that Cologne was something like a starting point for us. I think that's when we found ourselves and started the year anew.

How would I sum up my 2022? Horrible. No, I feel like there were ups and downs. Sometimes it's like you get hit by a train and then you have to survive and deal with it, and then come to terms with it and just go back to your normal life again. I'm the type of person who needs to touch a hot stove before I know it's stupid. And I have to learn it. So yes, I feel like my year was tough, but I'm here to play.

This year has been truly impressive. I think that even in those tournaments where we lost, there is nothing to be disappointed in. How well we started the year, I could not even imagine that we would have such a start. We had a really, really good year and nothing to regret. I would say that winning the Major and Cologne were the highlights of the year, especially because we played in Lisbon shortly before and it was a really tough tournament for us. We turned the situation around in Cologne and won this match[grand final against NAVI — 3:2]. And then came the summer holidays, which were also really enjoyable.

I am really satisfied with my individual performance in 2022. I think the last two months have not been as good as the rest of the year, but that's okay. It happens to every player so I don't worry about it. I think the Antwerp Major was a highlight for me, it was a really good time because I performed really well and it was the first time I played in front of a crowd.
Spinx, Team Vitality player
From a personal standpoint, I definitely think it's been the most disappointing year ever when it comes to results. The season started like normal, with the final in Katowice, and then there were just a lot of disappointing results, and we never managed to recover from them. So it wasn't a great year, I just hope it was a good lesson.
NiKo, G2 Esports player
If we go back to the beginning of this year, then, to be honest, I did not expect something like this. It has been a tough and good year at the same time. Approximately "50 to 50", like this coin, there are two sides. Have I achieved something that I really wanted to achieve? I can't say yes. But have I achieved something for myself? I will answer "yes" because I tried to grow as much as possible. I have taken these small steps and I sincerely believe that in the future these steps will help me create something for myself and for my team, my organization and my family. I can't fault this year. This is life and I love life so I think everything was fine.

It should be noted that in the near future the tournament operator BLAST will present its calendar of championships for the upcoming season. However, many players, including the aforementioned ropz, have already familiarized themselves with the format of the competition and recommended that BLAST make changes.
