ZywOo performed best in the playoffs of CS:GO tournaments in 2022

One of the users of the reddit forum, known under the pseudonym Pagoose, reported on the analytical work carried out, in which he decided to find out which of the cybersportsmen showed the best results in the final stages of all events in 2022.

According to Pagoose's calculations, the French esportsman representing the interests of Team Vitality, Mathieu 'ZywOo' Herbault, refused to take the first place in this rating. The average rating of the latter is 1.31 based on the results of 406 rounds played. Top-3 is closed by another player from Cloud9 Dmitry 'sh1ro' Sokolov. The latter played the same number of rounds as Ax1Le, but his rating is slightly lower than Rykhtorov's. Sh1ro ended 2022 with a rating of 1.23.

In fourth place was a member of the Danish team Astralis Benjamin 'blameF' Bremer. He played 307 rounds in the final stages and finished the year with an overall tournament playoff rating of 1.21.

It is noteworthy that the reddit user Pagoose, when calculating the rating, took into account only the matches of the final half of the tournament, so that the statistics would be similar to what the administration of the HLTV.org portal usually demonstrates. Therefore, somewhere it is considered to get into the top 4 of the best teams of the tournament, and somewhere it was enough for this to reach the top 12.

In addition, Pagoose noted how different his rating is from what was presented by the administration of HLTV. For clarity, he put the difference between the ratings in a separate column next to the indicator with the average rating of the players.

HLTV has previously carried out similar analytics, however, they calculated the statistics of players in general in the major championships of the past year. Pagoose, in turn, decided to single out the final stage and see which of the esportsmen gave the most impact in recent matches.

In HLTV's 2022 Major Events Players of the Year ranking, s1mple took first place. ZywOo took 3rd place on their list, while Ax1Le took 4th place.
