Valve has published a methodology for determining the rating of teams for qualifying for RMR tournaments
Valve has published its own methodology for determining the rating of teams for qualifying for RMR tournaments. The developers will use match results from third-party championships to "reduce the burden on Major participants and simplify the qualification process." Going forward, this system will determine invitations to closed qualifiers for regional RMR tournaments.
As a result, the developers have identified a model that takes into account three factors:
Безкоштовні дорогоцінні камені, а також щоденні, щотижневі та щомісячні бонуси!
- Line-up
- Beaten rivals
- results
In the coming weeks, the repository maintained by Valve to create a unified set of rules will host the actual code used to create the standings, as well as a sample dataset.
The approach we take to evaluate the accuracy of our model is to measure the relationship between expected and observed odds to win matches. We look at the matches each week in our dataset and assign score values to teams using the previous week's regional location. Using the difference in point values, each match is then assigned an expected win percentage. We break down these win rates into 5% bins and then measure the actual win rates for the matches that fall into each bin.
The developers will periodically update the existing table, built on the basis of the proposed model, up to open qualifiers. The final standings will determine which teams will be invited to the closed qualifiers.
