Evil Geniuses is the champion of the second open qualifier at IEM Road to Rio 2022 for America

The second North American open qualifier for IEM Road to Rio 2022 for America was coming to an end, with Evil Geniuses becoming the champion. Wards vorborg went all the way without defeat, thanks to which they received the best possible seeding.

During the qualifiers, the North American team turned out to be stronger than beater squadron (16:0), Magic Light (16:1), Limitless (19:17), Team oNe eSports (16:13), BHOP Esports (2:0) and ATK (16:6). Note that the ATK team, despite the defeat in the final by Evil Geniuses, also made it to IEM Road to Rio 2022 for America.

The second open North American qualifier for the IEM Road to Rio 2022 Americas took place from August 31 to September 2 online.

The current IEM Road to Rio 2022 Americas line-up is as follows:

• FURIA Esports, Imperial Esports, Team Liquid, paiN Gaming, MIBR, 00NATION, Complexity Gaming, ex-Gaimin Gladiators, O PLANO, 9z, Arctic eSports, Isurus, Evil Geniuses and ATK.

The RMR tournament itself for teams from North and South America will take place from 5 to 9 October in Stockholm. As part of the championship, six tickets to IEM Rio Major 2022 will be raffled off.
