ATK re-signed CS:GO roster

The South African eSports organization ATK has announced the re-signing of contracts with its CS:GO roster. This is reported by the Dust2 portal, citing its own sources.

After contract negotiations prevented the team from qualifying for the IEM Road to Rio 2022 for the Americas, ATK returned to Mexico for the start of the upcoming season. The signing came after a contentious period between the organization and the players as they were unable to secure a flight back to Mexico in time for the RMR qualifiers.

In recent days, several players have tweeted that they are going to Mexico, indicating that the contracts have been finalized and the team will continue to play under the ATK banner. Now that the players have returned to their team home in Monterrey, they look ready to kick off the new season.

Team ATK spent a controversial half of the 2022 season. On the one hand, sprayxd's wards won ESEA Cash Cup: North America - Winter 2022 #5 and ESEA Cash Cup: North America - Summer 2022 #1, and also got into the TOP-2 at the end of Ace North American Masters: Spring 2022 and ESL Challenger League Season 41: North America. On the other hand, the team did not make it to any major championship outside the North American region.

The nearest championship for the team will be the group stage of ESL Challenger League Season 42: North America. In parallel, ATK will be preparing to start qualifying for IEM Road to Rio 2022 for America.
