Bleed eSports interested in acquiring Virtus.pro roster

Singaporean organization Bleed eSports recently showed interest in signing a contract with the Virtus.proCS:GO team.

Bleed contacted Virtus.pro about signing a contract with the CS:GO team, but negotiations quickly fell apart as the two organizations disagreed too much on the roster.

Mareks YEKINDAR Galinskis, who has been playing for Team Liquid in recent weeks, did not participate in the discussions. The contract situation with the Latvian star is unknown: on August 11, Liquid general manager Steve jokasteve Perino stated that they are working with the player, "hoping that there will be good long-term news soon."

The Virtus.proCS:GO team plays under the name Outsiders due to sanctions imposed by several tournament organizers on a Russian organization that allegedly has ties to the Kremlin. ESL and PGL decided to allow Virtus.pro players to play under a neutral name, while BLAST decided not to invite Russian teams "for the foreseeable future" and canceled the CIS spring season qualifiers.

Currently ranked 17th in the world, the Outsiders went through two roster changes at the end of May, replacing YEKINDAR and Timur buster Tulepov with David n0rb3r7 ⁠ Danielyan and Peter fame ⁠ Bolyshev, according to HLTV. The team finished the season 13th to 16th at IEM Cologne 2022 after losing to Cloud9 and FURIA in the group stage.

Despite the unsuccessful pursuit of the Virtus.pro team, Bleed eSports are still determined to enter CS:GO and have already begun to contact the players. On July 20, Bleed eSports CEO Mervyn Goh tweeted that the organization would expand to CS:GO in 2023, targeting a European team.

Who are Bleed eSports?

Based in Singapore, Bleed entered esports in September 2021 by signing with UwU's Valorant team, the top Malaysian and Singaporean roster in the VCT SEA Stage 3 Contenders Playoffs. Until the end of the year, Bleed received a $50.8 million investment from Asia Venture Capital to expand its operations. In a series of high-profile moves, the Singapore organization signed Jacob pyth Mourujärvi and Max maxie Lönnström to their Valorant team and named veteran Nikola LEGIJA Ninich as head coach.
