Imperial Esports plans to part ways with fnx
According to the DRAFT5 portal, the Brazilian esports organization Imperial Esports intends to make adjustments to its CS:GO roster, considering the possibility of parting with fnx. The 32-year-old Brazilian veteran is set to leave the team soon, with several candidates being considered to take his place.
After a successful start to the season, it seems that Imperial Esports intends to make changes to "Last Dance" and remove one of their veterans from the roster. Recent months have shown that an experienced team cannot keep a consistently high bar, so it is necessary to refresh the squad to continue climbing in the second half of the 2022 season.

The main candidate for the exit is fnx, whose performance left much to be desired even in the championships that were successful for the Brazilian team. The 32-year-old esportsman spent half a year with the team, having won the OMEN WGR European Challenge 2022, as well as getting into the top three at FiReLEAGUE Latin Power Spring 2022 and PGL Major Antwerp 2022: American RMR.
The peak for this roster was PGL Major Antwerp 2022, where Imperial Esports made a sensational shot, almost making it to the championship playoffs. However, the team swam further, having obtained only a few victories in five full-fledged tournaments.
Potential candidates for Imperial Esports are reported to be biguzera, Lucaozy, JOTA and chelo. The former has been playing for paiN Gaming for the last three and a half years, having won many championships with the team, including BLAST Premier: Spring American Showdown 2022 and ESL Challenger League Season 41: North America.
Lucaozy is the main striking force of Sharks Esports, having managed to play with the team at last year's major in Stockholm. Well, JOTA and chelo are the current MIBR players, who never managed to gain a foothold in the TIER-1 scene in Europe, showing poor results in the last months of the first half of the season.
The nearest tournament for the Brazilian team is FiReLEAGUE 2022: Global Finals, which is scheduled for October. However, Imperial Esports will take part in a number of events until then, and will probably try to stay in Europe before the start of the qualifiers for the home major in Rio.
The Imperial Esports CS:GO roster currently looks like this:
- FalleN
- fer
- fnx
- boltz
- VINI
- peacemaker (coach)
