The team behind Modern Warfare 3 is investigating a glitch that allows players to sprint while in a prone position
An exploit allowing players to sprint while in a prone position has been discovered in the game. This grants players a distinct advantage, enabling them to swiftly move across the map while presenting a smaller and more challenging target to shoot at.
A user under the name Pullze Check posted a video showcasing the exploit and suggested naming it "Snaking 2.0".

It's noted that this exploit can only be utilized by players using a keyboard and mouse. However, since the game supports cross-play, it affects console players using a controller as well.
"The official Call of Duty Updates X account stated, 'We are investigating an issue that allows players to sprint while in a prone animation.'"
This prompted a response from the official Sledgehammer Games account, which posted an emoji of a crossed-out snake.
This week, Activision declared that Modern Warfare 3 has achieved record levels of engagement compared to its predecessors.
"Thank you for the historic launch," the statement on Tuesday read. "Just two weeks in, MWIII has already set records for engagement in the new Modern Warfare Trilogy!"
According to the publisher, the game has shown "more hours per player overall" than the 2019 Modern Warfare and last year's Modern Warfare 2.
However, the most anticipated information lies not in the game's engagement statistics but in unannounced data: sales figures and revenue.
While specific sales data for Modern Warfare 3 remains limited, physical sales during its launch week in the UK dropped by 25% compared to its predecessor.
